Unlocking
Potential in Pajamas: How Grade 8 Brought the Daydream Festival 2026 to Life!
On Friday,
October 2, 2026, the school ground transformed into an extraordinary hub of
energy, creativity, and self-expression as students and teachers gathered for NGOPI
(Ngoptimalin Potensi Diri). Centered around this session’s unique theme”
the Daydream Festival 2026” the entire event was spearheaded and
organized by the talented Grade 8 students. Designed as a platform for growth
and collaboration, the festival proved that optimizing one’s potential can be
both deeply enriching and wildly entertaining.
The day kicked
off with an intense preparation session from 10:20 to 11:30, during which Grade
8 teams diligently set up equipment, arranged stalls, and ran final technical
checks. By the time the main festival opened at 13:00, the atmosphere was
electric. What made the afternoon particularly memorable was the playful dress
code: instead of standard school uniforms, everyone arrived wearing cozy
pajamas and sleepwear. From colorful onesies to classic flannel sets, the
whimsical attire set a relaxed, joyful tone that encouraged students to step
out of their comfort zones.
The afternoon
featured a dynamic array of activities that highlighted student leadership and
diverse talents:
- Class Performances: Taking the center stage, students delivered captivating talent
showcases. Ranging from live musical numbers and energetic dance routines
to expressive dramatic acts, these performances gave individual students a
chance to shine and discover hidden passions.
- Carnival Game Zone: The energy peaked as class representatives went head-to-head
in friendly competition across customized carnival booths. Games like Can
Bowling, Ring Donut, Hole in the Mood, and Water
Blaster challenged participants' precision and strategy, with winners
earning delicious prize snacks for their teams.
- Student Government Stalls: Demonstrating impressive entrepreneurial skills, student
government representatives managed food and beverage booths throughout the
venue. Attendees lined up to enjoy refreshing drinks and tasty treats,
which kept the festival crowd energized all afternoon.
Beyond the
immediate fun and games, the Daydream Festival offered Grade 8 students a
hands-on masterclass in project management, event coordination, and teamwork.
By taking full ownership of the planning and execution, they transformed a
simple school afternoon into a meaningful celebration of student agency and
community spirit. NGOPI successfully reminded everyone that when given the
creative freedom to dream big, every student has extraordinary potential
waiting to be unlocked.
