Beyond the Classroom: Cultivating
Lifelong Good Habits at SMP Edu Global
At SMP Edu
Global Bandung, education goes beyond academics. We believe that true success
stems from a balanced combination of knowledge, spiritual strength, and
physical well-being. To foster these essential traits, our school integrates a
comprehensive Daily Habituation program designed to shape well-rounded,
disciplined, and mindful students. A cornerstone of this daily routine is our Morning
Activity, a vibrant start to the day that nurtures the mind, body, and soul
before formal classes begin. Our Morning Activity consists of diverse routines
tailored to develop spiritual grounding, physical fitness, personal literacy,
and essential life skills. Every morning, students engage in purposeful
practices that set a positive tone for the rest of the day:
§
Spiritual Growth: Students start
their morning with Dhuha Prayer, Tahsin Tahfizh Mentoring, and reciting the Asmaul
Husna, deepening their faith and inner peace.
§
Health and Wellness: Physical
vitality is prioritized through energetic sessions of Senam Anak Indonesia
Hebat and refreshing Morning Walk routines.
§ Intellectual and Practical Development: Daily Literacy
sessions encourage critical thinking and reading habits, while Basic Skill
activities equip students with practical competencies for everyday life.
To broaden
our students' horizons and build strong leadership qualities, specific days are
dedicated to special assemblies and structured guidance:
§ Homeroom Teacher Guidance
(Every 2 weeks): Personal mentoring sessions where homeroom teachers connect
with students, offering character guidance and emotional support.
§ Flag Ceremony (Once a
month): A disciplined routine designed to cultivate nationalism, respect, and
patriotism.
§ Morning Assembly (Once a
month): A school wide gathering to celebrate achievements, share motivation,
and build a cohesive school community.
The positive
momentum created in the morning seamlessly transitions into our Afternoon
Activity program. Students participate in Dzuhur and Friday Prayer,
engage in reflective peer discussions during Youth Circle (Keputrian &
Keputraan), and cultivate generosity through charity initiatives like Infak
Ramadhan (every Friday) and Infak Qurban (every 2 weeks).
